Vi \u00e4r en vecka in i december och fortfarande blommar enstaka rosor i v\u00e5r tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd. P\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt \u00e4r det naturligtvis gl\u00e4djande med den l\u00e5nga blomningss\u00e4songen, men samtidigt \u00e4r det orov\u00e4ckande. Det ska inte vara s\u00e5 h\u00e4r milt i december. Ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att fotografera blommande rosor borde jag vid den h\u00e4r tiden vinterskydda rosorna genom att kupa dem och packa in dem i granris (det senare mest f\u00f6r att skydda grenarna fr\u00e5n den starka v\u00e5rsolen i februari-mars). Exempel p\u00e5 n\u00e5gra rosor som envisas med att fortfarande blomma hittar ni lite l\u00e4ngre ner.<\/p><p>Bilden p\u00e5 dagens ros tog jag i alla fall\u00a0 i somras. Det \u00e4r en &#8217;Redoute&#8217; &#8211; en h\u00e4rligt gul austinros som \u00e4r en hybrid av &#8217;Mary Rose&#8217;. Den liknar denna, men f\u00e5r ljusare gula blommor. Doften \u00e4r helt fantastisk och p\u00e5minner om hur gammaldags rosor doftar. Den \u00e4r remonterande och blir 1,2 meter h\u00f6g. F\u00f6r att vara en austinros \u00e4r den ganska h\u00e4rdig och g\u00e5r bra upp i zon 5.<\/p><p>F\u00f6r 54 och ett halvt \u00e5r sedan, den sjunde maj 1966, ringer trummisen Ginger Baker upp en journalist p\u00e5 Melody Maker och ber\u00e4ttar att han bildat ett band med Eric Clapton och Jack Bruce (fr\u00e5n Manfred Mann).
